By looking within yourself, you are able to bring forth spirits that illuminate the deepest corners of your subconscious. Your fears, hopes, sins and regrets now take a physical form that only you and the people you permit can see. However, the spirits can only interact with you, for everyone else it simply passes through them. Tread with caution when casting. Many times we are our worst enemies.

To cast this spell, one must first begin by clearing their mind. If attempting this for the first time, roll a wisdom check (you may start off with a DC 20 Wisdom check or have the DM set a DC that is more befitting your character). If successful, you must then focus on one of the desired effects listed below. If you fail the Fear effect of this spell takes place

Desire: You focus on your heart's wants. With each beat and breath, the spirit begins to take shape. It is a manifestation of what you hope to desire in every sense of the word (for added flavor, you may have it appear as the ideal of what the character wants to be). This spirit is an impartial judge meant to act as a guide for when you are lost within the cavernous depths of conflicting thought.  You push past all that is holding you back as it guides you through images of your deepest desires as you gain a sense of conviction. NOTE: It cannot provide an opinion. You will not know if achieving your desires will affect you in any sort of way. This effect simply exists to provide clarity when you are confused. Nothing more, nothing less.

Persona: Code-switching is commonplace among everyone. Having different "versions" of yourself can help one adapt easily to otherwise complex situations. This effect brings forth a version of yourself that you can talk to. They know the exact information you do but, depending on when they were last used, may have a different personality and alignment. This effect is great if you need someone to bounce ideas off of and don't have any close confidants. However, because this is essentially a different person, offending them may result in you getting injured (stats are equal to that of the character). Method actors beware. Your characters may still live in your head.

Past: Forgetfulness is a common event and repression is a common coping mechanism. Important events that shape who you are often lost in your mind. This spirit brings forth the forgotten. Past memories, hopes, fears, and regrets are the cornerstone of this spirit's presence. They appear as a child version of you (if your character never was a child they appear as the closest approximation/chibi version). The child knows as much information as you do at the time of casting the spell but acts how you acted when you were a child. The spirit reflects how you have been treating yourself in the following ways:

  • Unhealthy: The child appears wounded and bruised from your treatment. They do not trust you in the slightest and will try to avoid answering your questions as much as possible. You may try making a Charisma (persuasion) throw to entice it to talk. DC set by the DM. If you try to change the child's appearance in between castings, the DC can be lowered.
  • Healthy: The child appears healthy and gleeful. They are excited to see you and eager to answer your questions. Furthermore, they can act as a guide through your past and show you the forgotten.

Fear: Fear stops us from delving deeper, and you failed to clear your mind because of it. Now, all that haunts you manifests as a spirit that intends to harm you. Though the damage might not be physical. It *is* your mind so you may just hallucinate for the next 50 minutes about the worst possible scenario. Good luck

Like with anything in DND, this is an outline. Feel free to change the aspects of this spell however you want.
