You release a massive burst of cold energy super cooling everything around you.
Each creature within 60 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d6 cold damage and its speed is reduced to 0 for the duration. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage, and its speed is not reduced. A creature that is completely underwater automatically fails this saving throw, is paralyzed for 1 minute, and is trapped in ice for the duration or until they break free.
As an action, a creature that has had its speed reduced by this spell can end the effect early if it succeeds on a Strength (Athletics) check with a DC equal to your spell save DC. A creature that is trapped in ice whose paralysis has ended can break free with the same Strength (Athletics) check.
You can choose to cast this spell as a bonus action. If you do so, roll a d20 before the effects take place. On a roll of 1, this spell effects you as well.
