You clench your fist, necromantic energies drawing the blood from your victims. A creature of your choice that is within range must make a Constitution saving throw taking 1d8 necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one, and you gain temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt for the duration. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs. A creature that is willing to allow for the leech has no save.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the necrotic damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st and you can target one additional creature in range.
