Damage/Effect
When you cast this spell, you start the process of trying to block the casting of one spell; you can cast this spell even after all rolls required by the spell are rolled, but before any of the effects apply. Both you (the disrupter) and the other caster (the defender) roll a d6, which determines your starting force: the disrupter can then decide to fold, ending the spell following the Disrupt Arcane spell rules (as if casted at 8th level level). If instead the disrupter wants to continue, the following steps apply:
- Shield: The defender expends up to five spell slots, rolling then an appropriate number of dices following the scheme below; he then adds the rolled numbers and sums the result to its initial force, and keeps this number secret. He then declares which spell slots he used, but not how many of them.
1st 1d4 2nd 1d6 3rd 1d8 4th 1d10 5th 1d12 6th 2d8 7th 2d10 8th 2d12 9th 15 - Attack: the disrupter can either do the same as the defender, or it can fold. If the disrupter folds, he takes a number of d6 of force damage equal to the level of the spell being counterspelled multiplied by the amount of times step 1 has been repeated. This damage cannot be reduced in any way.
- Double, Fold, or See: The defender can then choose to Double and both parties repeat steps 1-2, Fold and take a number of d6 of force damage equal to the level of the spell being counterspelled multiplied by the amount of times step 1 has been performed, or See, progressing to step 4.
- See: both spellcasters reveal their final force number: the one with the highest number wins. If the defender wins, the spell is casted, the disrupter takes a number of d12 of force damage equal to the level of the spell being counterspelled multiplied by the amount of times step 1 has been performed. If the disrupter wins, the spell is dispelled, the defender takes a number of d6 of force damage equal to the level of the spell being counterspelled multiplied by the amount of times step 1 has been performed and the defender is stunned until the start of its next turn.
The damages from these spells can not be reduced in any way. The force score of each player is cumulative during the casting of this spell.
