You cause an acrid downpour of corrosive rain to fall in a 10-foot-radius, 90-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, the area is considered lightly obscured. When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it becomes burnt and corroded by the acidic rain, forcing it to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d4 acid damage and suffers a -1 reduction to its AC. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage and suffers no reduction to its AC. The reduction increases by 1 each time a creature fails the saving throw against the spell, up to a maximum of -5. The reduction lasts until the creature finishes a short- or long rest, or until Greater Restoration is cast on it.
On each of your turns after you cast this spell, you can use an action to move the rain up to 90 feet in any direction.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 for every spell slot level above 5th.
