This spell creates an undead familiar. Choose a pile of bones of a Small Beast Owl within range. Your spell imbues the target with a foul mimicry of life, raising it as an undead familiar.
Your familiar acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn. A familiar has a special attack, but can take other actions as normal.
When the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it loses its magical energy, falling to the ground instantly. It can be brought back upon casting this spell again.
While your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can hear through your familiar until the start of your next turn. During this time, you are deaf with regard to your own senses.
You can't have more than one familiar at a time. If you cast this spell while you already have a familiar, you instead cause it to lose its magic as it transfers to a new host.
Finally, the creature can make three attacks on it's turn, two talon and one beak attack.
Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4+2) Piercing Damage
Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.
* - (a drop of blood, and a complete pile of small owl bones)
