Allister's Infernal Spears

You create three spears formed from burning fire. The spears float above you, exuding an aura of heat. Moments later, the spears launch forward at an enemy, soaring through the air as they leave trails of heat behind it. An enemy hit by a spear takes 3d6 fire damage. The spears will shatter on contact with the shieldspell, destroying them and negating their damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the spell creates one more spear for each slot level above 4th. You can only launch 3 spears at a time. The remaining ones will float above your head, and will require another standard action to throw.

I: "Mr. Ashen, what was your motivation for creating this spell?"
A: "So basically, you know magic missile. Great spell, really reliable, guaranteed to hit, et cetera."
I: "What does this have to do with your spell, Mr. Ashen?"
A: "Magic Missile is great, but its destructive capabilities suck Goblin ass. You could hit me with 50,000 magic missiles, targeting my weak spot, and I would not die."
I: "I think you would, actua-"
A: "So I thought, what if instead of missiles, they were giant flaming spears? And then, eureka! My brilliant spell."
