You create a magical zone that infiltrates the mind of all creatures in a 15-foot-radius sphere centered on you. Until the spell ends, the caster can ask a creature within the spell's area "truth or dare", forcing them to make a Charisma saving throw. On a success, the creature can refuse the request without any repurcussions. On a failed save, it must choose either "truth" or "dare". If it refuses to choose, the creature forfeits and remains magically trapped within the area until the spell ends. An affected creature is aware of the spell and the potential consequences of its choice.
If the target selects "truth," it must answer a single question of the caster's choosing truthfully. An affected creature can be evasive in its answers as long as it remains within the boundaries of the truth, but it cannot deliberately utter an outright lie. Once the question has been answered truthfully, the spell ends.
If the target selects "dare," the caster can command it to perform a simple task (limited to a sentence or two) as long as the task doesn't pose the risk of serious bodily harm, at the DM's discretion. The target must perform this task to the best of its ability until the task is completed or until this spell ends. The target can leave the area of the spell if they need to in order to complete the task. Once the task is completed successfully, the spell ends.
Creatures that can't be charmed or cannot hear or understand you are not affected by this spell. If you or any of your companions damage an affected creature, the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, for each slot level above 2nd the duration increases by 1 hour and you can force the same or another creature to answer an additional question or complete an additional task before the spell ends.
