After spending the casting time tracing magical pathways within a precious gemstone, you touch a Large or smaller undead creature. The target must have either no Intelligence score or an Intelligence of 3 or less. The target gains an Intelligence of 10. The target also gains the ability to speak one language you know. If the target is already ambulatory, it gains the ability to move up to 30 feet per round. Your GM chooses statistics appropriate for the awakened undead, such as the statistics for the awakened zombie.  After 24 hours of being awakened, if still under the control of a caster, the undead creature makes a charisma savings throw against the DC of the caster.  If the undead creature succeeds it retains the alignment of it's originating undead creature type.  On a failed save, the undead creature begins to take on the alignment of the caster controlling it.  The undead creature must make a savings throw for each 24 hour period for the next 3 days if it is still under the control of the caster.  These savings throws are made with disadvantage after the initial failure.  Upon 4 failed saves, the undead creature adopts the alignment of the caster permanently.
