Acid Orb

You hurl a 4-inch-diameter sphere of acid at a creature that you can see within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d8 acid damage immediately and half that total rounded up of acid damage at the end of its next turn. On a miss, the orb splashes the target with acid for half as much of the initial damage and no damage at the end of its next turn.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
