You hold out a hand and summon a piano on top of a creature. This spell does nothing if the creature's size is gargantuan. The target must make a dexterity saving throw, if it fails takes 5d8 bludgeoning damage and 2d8 piercing damage, if it succeeds, it takes 1d8 piercing damage.
This spell’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (5d8/3d8), 11th level (6d8/4d8), and 17th level (7d8/5d8).

Truly, amazing.
The concept here is really fun. Nice idea.
Some suggestions for balancing:
- Usually scaling the spell by character level is destined to cantrips and other class/race abilities. I would suggest considering scaling the spell by each spell slot used above 3rd
- I think it is a little underwhelming for a 3rd level spell, comparing with other AoEs of this level (damage and range), a single target spell could go a little bit further I guess. Maybe make it default 5d8 and the smaller the creature, the more the extra damage you do
Ps: if you guys can check also my spell ("Dum's" Backup Aura) it would be greatly appreciated :)
bro what if you stack the pianos also i will check out your spell
Bards should be able to cast this spell
I want to kill things with pianos. So funny.
I'm pretty sure that people who like looney toons will love this
This is honestly a really interesting idea. Relatively high damage, but in turn, instead of the usual health damage from a succeeded save, it’s 1d8. If I could make 1 suggestion I think I would say that the damage for succeeding should match the piercing damage, so when upcast it will do more damage. In turn maybe make the 3rd level do 6d8 bludgeoning 1d8 piercing, and increase both by d8 like normal every level so it keeps the same damage at 3rd, but increases at level up.
