You select an area in range. From the point you choice magical acid splashes on all creatures within 20 feet of the area you choose. All creatures in the area must make a dexterity saving throw. On a failure those creatures are covered in acid and take 6d8 acid damage every turn for the duration. If the creature succeeds on the saving throw that creature is only partially covered and takes 3d8 acid damage every turn for the duration.
The acid can be removed and scraped off. By using your action you can clean off the oily acid reducing the damage that you take every turn by 3d8 acid damage.
At higher levels. When you cast this spell at level 9 the acid is more potent and deals double the damage in dice.

Posted Jun 9, 2019This is the creator of the spell here. Changing the spells are a pain on this site so a comment is better. Most people aren't rules lawyers but proper language is needed for those that are. It should be that instead of every turn it deals damage it is at the start of each of their turns. Even if they move out of the area it is like they are covered in the oily acid. There is a difference between every round and every turn and I used the wrong language. Consider this errata.
