Tendrils of numinous lightning arc from your eyes in a 20 foot cone, electrifying creatures caught within your gaze. A creature within the cone must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 lightning damage and 1d8 psychic damage and becomes stunned for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and is not stunned.
At the beginning of each of its subsequent turns, a stunned creature can reattempt the saving throw to free itself from the spell's effects. On a failed save, it takes 1d8 psychic damage (scales with level) and remains stunned.
A creature has disadvantage on this spell's saving throw if it is made of metal, wearing metallic armor, holding metallic weapons, or if it is incorporeal. A creature in the border ethereal plane, such as a creature effected by the blink spell, counts as being incorporeal when attempting this saving throw.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell's damage increases by 1d6 lightning damage and 1d8 psychic damage and the cone's area increases by 5 feet for each slot level above 1st.
