A javelin of purple radiant light streaks out from your hand to a creature in range, following a moving creature only slightly. Make a ranged spell attack against the target, and the AC against this attack does not consider bonuses due to armor, natural armor, magic items, and shields. The target also does not benefit from the Dodge action for this attack. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 radiant damage.

This spell’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
