Waterbending: Water Whip

You bend the water to form a whip and lash at your enemies. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 bludgeoning damage. On a miss, the whip lashes the target with water for half as much of the initial damage

This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8). Once you reach 3rd level when you cast this spell you can choose to sharpen the whip to cause slashing damage instead of bludgeoning.
