A spell used in scorched earth tactics by war mages, it is abhorred by those who have a connection with nature for its widespread destruction.
A sickly yellowish cloud appears within range at a height of around 60 feet. Each creature in a 30 foot radius cylinder beneath the cloud when it appears must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 points of acid damage, or half as much on a success. Creatures that end their turn in the area must also make the saving throw.
Any nonmagical small plants in the area completely wither after two rounds spent in the area. If the spell is maintained for the full duration the ground becomes barren and all plants cease to live on it for 1 year. This effect can be reversed by spells that invigorate the land, such as those known by druids.
At Higher Levels: When cast using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the radius of the effect increases by 10 feet for each spell slot over 5th.
