Accursed Pact Tome

You touch and imbue your pact tome with eldritch energy. As part of the action used to cast this spell, you may either hurl it at one creature of your choice or slam them with it. If you slam a target with it, make a melee spell attack. If you throw the tome at a target, make a ranged spell attack.

On a hit, the target takes 1d4 force damage and 1d4 of any damage type of your choice among spells from your pact's extended spell list.

If you made a ranged spell attack the book comes to rest on the ground of the square the target resides.

Any additional functionality added to "Eldritch Blast" also applies to Accursed Pact Tome. This spell can not be cast if you don't know "Eldritch Blast". This spell can only be learned as part of the Pact of the Tome Warlock class feature.

As long as this spell is scribed in your pact tome, even if it is not in your possession, when ever you mention your pact tome aloud without stating its full and proper name and it isn't in one of your hands, if at least one empty hand is raised above your head it teleports into your hand, if not it lands on your head with a satisfying thud dealing 1 force damage. Doing this in combat will cost your item interaction even if done unintentionally.

This spell creates extra shadow tomes when you reach higher levels: one additional tome at 5th level, two additional tomes at 11th level, and three additional tomes at 17th level. If making a ranged attack you can direct the tomes at the same target or at different ones. If the target leaves melee range as a result of this spell, the additional shadow books still are made as melee spell attacks against that same target. Make a separate attack roll for each tome. If your tome lands on your head, any additional shadow tomes also appear and strike you as well one after another, dealing an additional 1 force damage each unless you make a DC 10 Dexterity Save.
