You touch a creature that is not wearing armor, donning them in a grand translucent garb befitting royalty. You determine the form that the garb takes. It can be a royal dress, a set of golden plate mail, or angelic wings. Regardless of its form, it does not gain any special features and does not count as armor. The garb lasts until the end of the target's next turn, but its duration extends by an additional round for every turn the target takes damage.
For the duration, the target's base AC becomes 14 + its Dexterity modifier. In addition, the garb is strengthened by its wearer's valor in battle. After the target takes damage, all incoming damage thereafter is reduced by the target's proficiency bonus. At the end of every subsequent turn that the target takes damage, the reduction is further increased.
Each time the garb's damage reduction increases, the garb becomes more opaque. The spell ends if the target dons armor or drops to 0 Hit Points.
