A black flame appears in the user's hand that encompasses the point of evocation.
When you cast the spell, time slows down and the hand of the user is coated with this black bolt of power. The creature hit with this attack must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On each of your turns until the spell ends, you can use your action to summon the black flash in this way again, targeting the same creature or a different one.
If you are indoors in dark conditions when you cast this spell, the spell stuns all enemy creatures within a 20 foot radius. Under such conditions, the spell’s damage increases by 1d10.
This attack is essentially s a quick flash of black lighting, and when using the element of surprise, it may be used twice.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th or higher level, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd.
