Channeling your arcane prowess into your fingertips, you alter a dead body within your reach. If a creature is revived they are not restored to its original state unless the resurrection is cast at a higher level than the alteration spell.
When using this spell a dead body can be altered into a new shape. The body can not be altered into a different body type, such as a bipedal body changing into an animal's shape. The body can also not be altered to change size categories.
A creature can investigate the dead body to discover changes against the caster's spell-saving DC. If they are successful, they will notice irregularities in the body. On a failure, the corpse looks normal.
Upcasting: At the 3rd level, the spell can alter a corpse's size category, and at the 5th level the spell can alter the corpse's body type.
