When you begin to fall, you can use a reaction to wreath yourself in the black flame of the stars that rise above Carcosa, becoming resistant to the next instance of fall damage you incur. You fall at incredible speeds, impacting the ground with an explosion of black flame. The blast radius from the impact is equal to the distance you fell prior to impact. You and each creature in the blast radius must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a fail, creatures other than you in the blast radius take 1d6 fire for every 10 feet you fell prior to impact (up to a maximum of 20d6). If you pass the Dexterity save you halve (meaning quarter with the resistance from the spell) your fall damage. Furthermore, when you rise from the impact crater, you are still wreathed in black flame. If the fall occurred during your turn, you may use a Bonus Action to force a creature within 30 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw, and may do so on subsequent turns for the duration. A creature that fails the Wisdom saving throw incurs a random form of Short Term Madness.
