Permanent Teleportation circles show up frequently in the world, whether it's the ancient monuments of a lost civilization or the secret paths of the elven conclaves. These circles all have a unique sequence of runes that can be used to teleport to them. However, the circles themselves are difficult to produce, requiring a skilled mage that could be hard to find. They are even more difficult to make permanent, requiring vast sums of time and money that only the largest organizations might have access to.
Instead of putting in the effort, time, or money, some intrepid magic wielders discovered they could hijack the connection between existing portals, temporarily connecting them with a direct infusion of gold. It is significantly easier than creating one from scratch, allowing even relatively weaker mages perform the feat for their party.
As you touch a permanent teleportation circle in the world, you can trace the rune sequence for a different teleportation circle somewhere else in the world in Gold dust. When the casting time is complete, the permanent teleportation circles are temporarily linked, staying open until the energy is consumed (the number of creatures indicated with the material component have been teleported). NOTE: There are no controls on the type, or quality, of creatures. Take precautions to ensure that someone else does not get a free ride off your gold by going in faster than your party member! This spell only allows you to activate permanent circles, not create your own (permanent or otherwise).
