You create a pike out of the blood of a nearby corpse. Choose a corpse that does not belong to a construct or undead creature that has died within the last 10 minutes. You must be able to see the body and it must be within 60-feet of you. You cannot choose the same body as the target of this spell more than once.
You siphon the blood from the chosen corpse to manifest a magical pike in your hands. It counts as a martial melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 1d10 piercing damage on a hit and it has a reach of 10ft and the two-handed property. In addition, if a creature is hit by this weapon, they must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes an additional 3d8 necrotic damage and is poisoned until the beginning of your next turn, or half as much damage and isn't poisoned on a successful save.
The pike dissipates if you let go of it after 1 turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the necrotic damage of the spear increases by 1d8 for every two slot level above 3rd.
