You poke a miniscule hole in time itself at a point you choose within range, causing the sands of time to ravage the surrounding area as it mends itself. Each creature in a 15-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 6d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The sandstorm spreads around corners.
If a target fails the save by 5 or more, you can choose to make the target age 1d4 years. If aging the target would cause them to immediately die of old age, the target is only aged to the point where it only has 1 year left before it dies of old age. (This cannot cause a creature to live longer than they would normally live.) The aging effect can be reversed with a greater restoration spell or similar magic, but only within one week of it occurring.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 and the aging effect by 1 year for each spell slot above 3rd.
