Dropping the shard it lands at your feet shattering. you watch as instantly the area around you snap freezes, taking the temperature well below zero and freezing your surroundings. This chill emanates from you in a 10ft sphere and follows you while you are moving and maintaining concentration. Any creature inside the sphere upon casting or upon entering the sphere for the first time suffers 1d8 cold damage. When you move away from an area the spell had affected the effects dissipate within 1 minute leaving no physical trace behind.

Any body of water or liquid the is water based within the spells effect freezes instantly. Any creatures that are partially or fully submerged in the water or soaked are trapped by the ice and restrained.  A trapped creature can use an action to make a STR check against your spell save DC to break free. This spell has no affect against water based creatures.

If the spell is cast while swimming an iceberg is formed within the spells area with an AC 10 and 100 hit points. This ice berg melts and reforms as the caster moves maintaining its hit point count even when a completely new iceberg is formed. Should the hit point maximum be exceeded the spell immediately ends breaking the casters concentration.

If the spell is cast while submerged a 10ft sphere of ice encompasses the caster. The caster is not trapped or restrained and creates a 5ft pocket of air inside the ice sphere. This sphere has AC 11 and 60 hit points and will rise to the surface of the body of water at a rate of 60ft a round.
