You may cast Backdraft as a reaction to taking damage from a melee weapon attack. A flare of defensive plasma scorches your opponent, who must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 fire damage and be pushed up to 10 ft away from you in a straight line. The target takes half damage on a success and is not pushed.
At higher levels: When cast Backdraft using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, add an additional 1d6 for every slot above 2nd.
