A scythe made of dark and evil energy materializes in front of you and lasts until you choose to cast again. Your target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw to avoid being hit. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 psychic damage + spellcasting modifier. An attack using Abyssal Scythe will slowly drive the target insane, inducing paralyzing paranoia.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d4 for every two slot levels above 2nd.
