Arcing Bolt

You make a ranged spell attack on a target within range, on a hit a stream of electricity connects with the target dealing 1d4 lightning damage. You may then hit another target within 10 feet of the original target or deal double damage to the original target, dealing an additional 1d4 lightning damage in either case.

This damage increases to 2d4 at 5th level, 3d4 at 7th, and 4d4 at 11th. This damage can be distributed however you choose: targeting more any number of targets equal to your number of d4 (four targets at 5th, six at 7th, and eight at 11th).
