ABILITY (not a spell)
The entity glares at a creature's soul within 100ft of you. The creature must make a wisdom saving throw against your spell saving DC. On a failed save, you learn it's full name and 1 random spell it has prepared (or the DM chooses).
(On a successful save, you may place a curse mark on your body and if you do, the save automatically fails instead, and any other saves the target makes until its next long rest automatically fail as well; you also learn 2 random spells instead of 1.)
If you expend two of your spell slots, you can cast that spell without fulfilling its class requirements, provided at least one spell slot meets the spell level requirement. There's a random chance the spell will be added to your grimoire (Roll a d6 against the DM). Whenever you cast the spell, you must roll against the DM again to see if it remains in the grimoire. Casting the spells will require a spell slot of the the same level, but you do not need to have the same class.
