You begin to play an obsessive song, forcing every creature that can hear you within a 30 foot radius to make an Intelligence saving throw or be affected by this spell for the duration.  A creature is immune to this spell if it is a construct, immune to the charmed condition, or is considered deafened. When you cast this spell, you may choose two of the following options to take effect:

Nameless Tune. Any creature under this effect has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws made to maintain concentration on a spell, and has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks until the spell ends, as their minds are distracted with attempts at naming a song they've heard before.

Unfinished Verse. The creature's mind is filled with nonsensical words to fill the gaps in the song. While under this effect, a creature attempting to cast a spell with verbal components must make an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC. If it fails, the spell slot is wasted and fails to take effect as the creature fumbles the words of the song and the spell. On a success, the spell functions as normal and this effect ends on the creature.

Catchy Melody. Anyone hearing this song can't help but tap their feet to the beat, and creatures are considered charmed until the spell ends, they take damage, or they see an ally take damage. While charmed in this way, their speed is reduced by half.

Painful Memories. The dark tone of the song forces anyone who listens to it to relive their darkest memories. A creature under this effect takes 4d4 psychic damage at the start of each of their turns until the spell ends. A creature may repeat their Intelligence saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end this effect.

At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the duration is concentration, up to 10 minutes. If you use a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration is 8 hours. If you use a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the duration is 24 hours. If you use a 9th level spell slot, the spell lasts until it is dispelled. Using a spell slot of 5th level or higher grants a duration that doesn't require concentration.
