You point at a creature within range and utter a magic incantation that transforms it into a two-dimensional cartoon version of itself. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it becomes animated for the duration of the spell.
While animated, the creature is transformed into a colorful, cartoon version of itself with exaggerated features and movements. It can no longer speak, but it can communicate through written text or cartoon-style sound effects. It gains immunity to all non-magical damage and resistance to magical damage, except for force damage.
Additionally, the creature gains the ability to perform incredible feats of acrobatics and agility. It can jump up to 10 times its normal distance, climb walls and ceilings with ease, and move at incredible speeds. It also gains advantage on all Dexterity-based ability checks and saving throws.
However, the creature is also subject to the laws of cartoon physics. It can be flattened, stretched, and squished like a traditional cartoon character. It is also vulnerable to force damage, which can knock it out of its cartoon form and return it to its normal shape.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, you can target an additional creature for each slot level above 5th. Additionally, the duration of the spell increases by 1 minute for each slot level above 5th.
