You attempt to turn one creature that you can see within a 90 ft range into stone. If the target has blood, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it is paralyzed as its body begins to harden and turn to stone from the inside out. On a successful save, the creature isn't affected.
If you maintain your concentration on this spell for the entire possible duration (3 Rounds), the creature is turned to stone and petrified until the effect is removed. If you do not remain concentration the spell is dispelled and the creature reverts back to normal and is no longer paralyzed.
If the creature is physically broken while petrified, it is destroyed and dies.
When you use a Blood Magic spell you have to utilize a vial of blood or you cut yourself and draw blood and take 1d8 damage.
You also have the choice to Amplify the spell (Which can be done anytime during the casting or use of the spell when it is your subsequent turn). If you choose to Amplify the spell you draw blood and take 2d8 damage or you use the blood of a creature that has been killed and has blood.
Amplified. When you amplify this spell, the creature immediately becomes petrified and turns to stone.
