Using your own spit you trace an invisible arcane rune upon a surface and give it a singular purpose. This purpose can be any one of the following:

- Deter: This requires an annotation rune defining the type of barrier you are creating. The two runes link and create an invisible barrier with a maximum surface area of 800 sf. The barrier has an AC of 10 plus your spellcasting ability modifier and Hit points equal to 1d100+10.

- Detect: You are sent a mental 3 second image of any creature/construct that passes within 25 feet of the arcane rune.  You may specify or exempt creatures/constructs from the detection and define detection area second annotation rune. You gain advantage on save and attack rolls against detected creatures and constructs.  Once activated the rune then is destroyed.

- Defend: If a creature passes within 25 feet of the arcane rune it explodes causing 1d8+4 fire damage. This also ignites any flammable objects in the are not being worn or carried. You may exempt creatures/constructs and define the damage pattern of the target area with a second annotation.

You can have a maximum of 3 runes active at one time.
