You stretch your hand out towards the creature that has done you harm, and then the creature is momentarily surrounded by pale, abyssal flames that eats away at their very being. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw. It takes 2d10 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the target creature is undead, they have advantage on the saving throw.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 1st.
