Wrath of the Earth Mother

You choose a point you can see on the ground within range. Massive thorned vines sprout from the ground for 100 feet in every direction. They go around corners and can fit through a one inch gap. Any creature in the range of the spell must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed saving throw, the creature takes 8d6 magical piercing damage and 8d6 necrotic damage and is restrained in place. On a success, the creature takes half as much damage and is not restrained. As an action, a creature restrained this way may make a Strength check against your spell save DC to escape the restrain effect.

 

 For the spell's duration, any creature which starts their  turn in the spell takes 5d4 necrotic damage and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is poisoned until the spell ends. At the end of a poisoned creature's turn, they may make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the poisoned condition is removed.

 

The air within the radius of the spell is lightly obscured by the miasmic fumes emitted from the vines.
