Created by the Adaestrian Coalition after the discovery a specific type of aberration; the arcanophage. Spawned out of the raw assaku emitted from the Diaphorges, these creatures consume arcane energy, keeping those around them from accessing it.
This spell creates a link between you and a nearby arcanophage, allowing you to draw on its strength to bolster your spellcasting ability. When you cast a spell, you can use a Bonus Action to draw on the link. Doing so means you expend no spell slots to cast the spell - the energy instead comes from the arcanophage.
The more you draw on the link, the harder it is for the arcanophage to maintain its integrity. After casting a spell through the link, roll percentile. Rolling within a specified threshold will cause the arcanophage to fall unconsious, breaking the link. (Threshold is determined by remaining spell levels stored.) There is a very small chance of the arcanophage erupting during Arcane Parasite). (See statblock)
