Touching a single (maximum 4 ft) piece of non-magical written work (e.g., Historical Tome), you name a single word or phrase*, and the spell locates all matching words within the text. The spell caster will become aware of the location (e.g., page number and/or paragraph) of any matches, and be able to perfectly recall this information for the next hour, after which a caster must rely on their mundane memory, or cast the spell again. Additionally, to the caster's eye, any matches will appear highlighted and stand out, but will remain unaffected for all onlookers.

In the case of written work comprising multiple pages this spell will also turn to page containing the first matching word or phrase; the force the spell uses to turn the pages is minimal, and as such pages can easily be prevent from turning, by a simple paper weight.

* The nature of the spell is such that only exact matches will be located, and not synonyms or information related to a search.
