Coles' Lance of Force

Tendrils of dark energy form and coalesce around the arms of the wielder before forming into a lance shaped bolt of shadowy force energy dealing 1d8 force damage upon impact. Upon impact the target most roll a strength saving throw. Upon a success the target stays on their feet. If the target fails they get moved back 5ft. The distance doesn't not scale with the spell level unlike the damage.

At higher levels this spell becomes 2d8 (level 5), 3d8 (level 10) and 4d8 (level 15)
