Bards love to put their own twists on magic, that is why when BenG learned about the spell mirror image he thought it bland and un-imaginative. He took it upon himself to come up with his own spell that could use illusions to protect him battle.
How the spell works is the caster starts to play a tune of their liking and dance around in a circle as they dance around they leave perfect copies of themselves around the battlefield. This causes the next attack made on the bard to be difficult making there be a chance they hit one of the copies. Unlike mirror image no matter if the caster is hit or an illusion all the copies vanish. The point of the spell is to hopefully disorient, confuse or some may say cause chaos for a brief moment to create an opportunity.
The spell lasts until it is dispelled or the caster is attacked.
When the enemy targets the caster they first must roll a d6 to see if they targeted the caster or an illusion. On a 6 they hit the caster and then roll to see if their attack hits, any other number on the die roll results in one of the illusions being targeted instead. This spell can not stop attacks that deal an area of affect and sometimes smarter opponents will turn to this strategy to get damage in even though the spell will remain because the caster was not targeted directly.
At higher levels the caster is able to make more copies causing the attacker to roll a bigger die. At level 4 the copies increase to 8 causing the attacker to roll a d8 and target the caster on an 8. At level 6 the copies increase to 10 causing the attacker to roll a d10 and target the caster on a 10. At level 8 the copies increase to 12 causing the attacker to roll a d12 and target the caster on a 12
