If a creature hits you with a melee attack while you have these hit points, the creature takes 1d4 magical piercing damage for each lost temporary hit point.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the temporary hit points increase by 5.
If cast with a 5th level spell slot or higher, the AC increases from 1 to 2.
