You create a vine that sprouts from a point of your choice within range. The vine has a length of up to 20 feet and can be used to manipulate objects, hold things, or aid in movement.
As an action, you can command the vine to do one of the following:
Lift, move, or manipulate an object within range that weighs no more than 10 pounds. You can move the object up to 20 feet in any direction. Secure itself to a fixed point within range, such as a tree branch or a ledge. You or an ally can then use the vine to swing or climb, provided the vine can support the weight. Wrap around an object or creature within range, holding it in place. The creature or object must be Medium or smaller and cannot be unwilling. An unwilling creature can make a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your spell save DC to break free.
The vine can't be used to deal damage or attack, but it can be targeted by attacks and spells. The vine has an AC of 12, 10 hit points, and immunity to poison and psychic damage. If the vine is reduced to 0 hit points, the spell ends. Additionally, if you lose concentration on the spell, the vine disappears.
As you gain levels, the strength and utility of the vine increase:
At 5th level, the vine can lift, move, or manipulate objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
At 11th level, the vine can lift, move, or manipulate objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
At 17th level, the vine can lift, move, or manipulate objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
