"Allows its user to revive a slain beast or hunter as a shadow soldier. It is triggered through a set keyword, does not cost mana to use, and can be applied over a large radius, allowing its user to extract hundreds of shadows at once. Despite the fact that Shadow Extraction essentially allows its user to create an army of shadows at their command, it comes with several weaknesses:

• Since Shadow Extraction works by extracting mana to create a shadow body, it can't be used on targets who didn't produce mana from their bodies when they were alive (i.e. a normal human). Mana also gradually evaporates from a target over time and as a result, an extraction is only possible for a certain period of time after the target's death.
• Shadow Extraction can't be used on targets with contaminated mana, such as demons.
• Shadow Extraction can't be successfully used on targets who are significantly stronger than the user themselves.
• Shadow Extraction can only be used three times on a single target, meaning that the user has only three chances for a successful extraction.
• Shadow Extraction can't be used on targets with inorganic forms, such as the Monarchs."
