Chains of Darkness

Immaterial chains lurch from the shadows around three creatures you can see, forcing a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, creatures are restrained by these chains. Creatures that begin their turn restrained by these chains suffer 2d8 force damage as they continually tighten.

The chains are only tangible to the creature they target, so other creatures cannot physically interact with them. Restrained creatures can use their action to make either a Strength or Dexterity check to break free, ending the effect on a success.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the number of creatures you can affect increases by one per level above 3rd.
