Blood Control

A spell inimical to living creatures as a whole, allowing the caster to assume control of a target's very blood. A living creature targeted by this spell must make a Constitution saving throw as pernicious magic infects their body, granting you control of their vital fluids.

On a failed save the creature is placed under your control. While affected by this spell the target's movement speed is halved and its attacks are made at disadvantage. An affected creature can make additional Constitution saving throws at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell on a success.

When you cast the spell, and as an action afterwards, you can perform one of the following commands on the creature:

• Blood Puppet. You designate an action and course of movement for the creature to take, the creature must follow this course of action to the best of its ability. The creature's movement speed is halved if you decide to force it to move, and its attacks are made with disadvantage.
• Contort. The target takes 8d6 necrotic damage as its blood writhes in its very veins.
• Crush Heart. You attempt to crush the creature's heart. If it has 10 hit points or fewer, the target dies instantly as its heart is crushed. If the target can survive without a heart, it instead takes 12d6 necrotic damage and the spell ends on them. If the target has more than 10 hit points it takes 10d10 necrotic damage and the spell ends on them.
• Living Statue. You halt the creature's movements. The creature is stunned until the beginning of your next turn.

This spell has no effect when cast on undead creatures, or creatures lacking blood, such as constructs.
