You cause a tendril of water to appear in an unoccupied space you can see. For 1 minute, you can make a melee attack on any creature within 10 feet of the tendril for 2d6 Bludgeoning damage, and if the target is Medium or Large, it must make a Strength saving throw or be Grappled. The save DC is 10+ your spellcasting modifier. If the target is still Grappled, you may use your Bonus Action to deal another 2d6 Bludgeoning damage again, or you may have the tendril release them and reappear within 20 feet of its previous location and make another melee attack with it.
At Higher Levels. The damage die increases by 1d6 for every level above 1st.
