Communication

You send a written message on one piece of paper to a creature with which you are familiar.

The caster touches a message which is folded into an animalistic shape (a paper crane, frog, or lizard for example), when the spell completes the message comes to life taking on the movement characteristics of the animal it was folded into. The message then seeks out the intended recipient anywhere on the same plane of existence. It takes time for the message to arrive as the message is actually traveling there. When the message reaches it's target it ensures that the target has received it (by placing itself on the creatures form somewhere) and the spell ends. Anything that can destroy paper will still destroy the message and it can be intercepted or destroyed by mundane means. Any seals placed upon the message remain intact until the spell is dispelled or the message reaches it's intended target.

If cast with wax as an extra ingredient it adds resistance to water to the message. This is enough to protect from rain or water poured on it, however if it is entirely submerged in water the water will still destroy the message (as being submerged in water would normally destroy paper). The water resistance ends when the spell ends (upon being dispelled or ending the spell when the message reaches it's intended recipient).

If cast as a ritual this spell may be used on multiple messages at once, equal to as many messages as the spell casters caster level + spell casting modifier.
