You summon a monstrosity of CR 3 or below, which appears in an unoccupied space of radius 15ft by your side. The creature disappears into dark ashes when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.
The conjured creature is unfriendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the creature, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to the monster, it attacks any hostile creature it can see; if it sees no creature, you must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 15); on a failed throw, the creature becomes hostile.
The GM has the creature's statistics.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 7th-level spell slot, you can summon two creatures instead.
A few of Alzur's monstrous creations roam the world still. Not least among them the horrid viy, who massacred its mage-creator and destroyed half of Maribor before fleeing into Riverdell's gloomy woodland.
