You create a 20-foot-radius sphere of boiling hot water centered on a point you choose within range. The point must be on or within water, and does not effect areas outside of the water. It lasts for the duration or until strong current disperses the boiling water, ending the spell.
When a creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, that creature must make a Constitution saving throw. The creature takes 6d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The heated water moves 10 feet away from you at the start of each of your turns. Heated water has no effects on structures or vehicles made of wood or stone, but metal based vehicles will slowly heat up, dealing 2d8 fire damage to any creature that walks upon or starts its turn on a surface heated this way.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
