With a small hand movement, a pigeon appears in the casters hand and flies D20 feet forward. When the pigeon has done its initial move, it hovers in place for 1 turn before landing on the ground. The pigeon will behave like a normal pigeon if scared or attacked, or 1 minute after the spell has been casted. The pigeon will fly away if it feels threatened, even if the spell was cast less then 1 minute ago. If successfully hit, it will dramatically burst into feathers no matter how much damage was dealt to it. The feathers disappear a few minutes after it was attacked. The pigeon will return to the pigeon realm after bursting, if it moves 100 feet away from the caster, or after 48 hours. The caster cannot force the pigeon to return to the pigeon realm. If casted as a 3rd level spell, the pigeon can safely move over 100 feet away from the caster, without going to the pigeon realm. This allows it to carry messages over long distances. The pigeon can be tamed and will attack or distract enemies alongside the tamer (but will still fly away after becoming scared, so it will not attack anyone or anything facing towards it), but the pigeon has no loyalty to the caster and will ally itself with whoever most recently gave it food. The pigeon will be untamed 5 minutes after being fed, but will only stop following its feeder after 10 minutes (unless it becomes scared, in this case it will fly away and forget the tamer). If the caster uses wild shape to transform a pigeon, they can decide whether they want to lead the flock they have summoned. Any pigeons summoned by this spell, and by the caster (if they choose to lead the flock), will follow the caster and attack if the caster initiates combat, but will retreat with the caster if they end combat. Pigeons will leave the flock if they see an obvious food source, like crumbs on the ground.

The maximum amount of active pigeons that can be summoned by this spell is determined by your class levels, increasing by 5 for every druid level and 2 for every ranger level. Attempting to cast the spell when you have the maximum amount of pigeons summoned will result in the spell failing automatically.
