You create a wall of erupting and sticky acid acid on a solid surface within range. You can make the wall up to 80 feet long, 30 feet high, and 2 foot thick, or a ringed wall up to 30 feet in diameter, 30 feet high, and 2 foot thick. The wall is opaque and lasts for the duration.
When the wall appears, each creature within its area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 9d4 acid damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. In addition, any creature that fails the saving throw or that ends its turn on the wall’s space becomes covered in acid. A creature takes 5d4 acid damage if it ends its turn while covered in acid, and it can use its action to make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC to clear away the acid.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage (both initial and later) increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 5th.
